The short-term source of water for the development will be from 12 existing boreholes. Borehole capacity tests are to be done to ascertain the actual yield. This will aid in the number of boreholes needed for our development. We propose 600 litres of water per day per household. Multiply this by 5 days times the number of stands. This will result in 10.5 mega-litres of water per week. These boreholes will pump into an existing reservoir located near the existing farm house. The water will then gravitate to the rest of the development. This reservoir will be rehabilitated to accommodate the development; however, a new reservoir can be constructed if need be.
